John Morgan Owens
John Morgan Owens graduated from Pickens Academy in 2012 as Valedictorian and Mr. Pickens Academy. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in History. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2019 with his Juris Doctor degree. Upon passing the Bar exam in 2019, he became a partner at the law firm McCool & Owens in Carrollton.
John Morgan Owens is married to Meredith McCool Owens, the daughter of Chris and Sherri McCool. John Morgan and Meredith have two children, Cal and Maggie. They live in Zion, Alabama.

During his time as a prosecutor, he has handled thousands of cases, standing in the gap as a voice for victims in Pickens County and surrounding counties. His experience in making the hard decisions to protect our children and families will serve him well as District Judge of Pickens County.
